- A gynaecologist who completed an additional formal subspecialty fellowship
- Trained exclusively in pelvic floor disorders — prolapse, incontinence, OAB, mesh revision
- RCOG accreditation is the international benchmark — awarded after structured UK fellowship training
- Fewer than 10 RCOG-accredited urogynaecologists practise in South Africa
Prof Jeffery sees only pelvic floor conditions — every consultation, every day. He is also part of the original generation who helped establish this subspecialty in South Africa, and has trained many of the clinicians now practising in the field.
