Travelling Patients

Prof Jeffery welcomes patients from across Africa and internationally — particularly those seeking expert laparoscopic or urogynaecological surgery, or a specialist second opinion.

Established medical care in an accessible city

Cape Town is served by direct international flights from major African and European hubs. Christiaan Barnard Memorial Hospital — where Prof Jeffery performs surgery — is a JCI-accredited private hospital with international medical tourism infrastructure.

Patients travelling for surgery typically coordinate a pre-operative consultation (in-person or via teleconsultation), procedure, and recovery stay within a single trip. The practice team can assist with coordination of investigations, pre-operative requirements, and discharge documentation.
