Prof Stephen Jeffery trained in obstetrics and gynaecology at the University of Cape Town before completing a urogynaecology fellowship at St George’s Hospital in London from 2004 to 2007. He holds RCOG subspecialty accreditation, following formal fellowship training in the United Kingdom. With more than two decades of specialist practice, he continues to see the full spectrum of pelvic floor disorders from three Cape Town consulting rooms.
As a Professor at the University of Cape Town and founder of SLATE Surgical Training Centre, his influence has extended well beyond the consulting room for decades. He supervises postgraduate research, leads surgical training and serves on professional committees.
